CRD & St. Patrick School Celebrate Steel Topping Out

If you want to make a steel topping out extra fun, invite some kids!

Monday morning we put the final steel beam into place at our St. Patrick School project. The last steel beam placed—signifying the final height of the building—is a milestone often commemorated by a “steel topping out” ceremony.

The St. Patrick School beam was signed by the entire student body and staff in the days leading up to the ceremony. Cheers of “SPS!” and “USA!” could be heard throughout Malvern while the beam was lifted and set into place.

Designed by McGillin Architecture, the 7,500 sqft addition will house the parish’s Early Childhood Education Center and is slated to finish Fall 2022.
