C. Raymond Davis & Sons Receives Four Excellence in Construction Awards from Associated Builders & Contractors Eastern PA Chapter
C. Raymond Davis & Sons (CRD) is pleased to announce that all three projects entered in the Associated Builders and Contractors Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter’s 30th Annual Excellence in Construction Awards competition have been awarded first place in their categories. One of the projects, the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad, was also named 2020 Project of the Year for having the highest score of all the projects in the competition.
CRD earned Excellence Level awards for the following projects:
Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad – Best Institutional Project $5-10 Million and 2020 Project of the Year
Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad - Don Pearse Photographers
This project involved constructing a 16,000 sqft facility to serve as the new headquarters for the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad—a project they had been planning for over 15 years. The state-of-the-art building houses spacious engine bays, training facilities, a conference room, an exercise room, offices, a kitchen and dining area, a TV room, and six bunk rooms. The project was designed by H2M architects + engineers of Melville, NY.
Valley Veterinary Hospital – Best Commercial Project $5-10 Million

This project involved restoring and renovating a 5,000 sqft historic building and constructing a 17,800 sqft addition for the new location of the Valley Veterinary Hospital in Phoenixville, PA. The new facility houses surgical suites, a complete diagnostics lab, pharmacy, aquatic therapy, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and boarding amenities. The project was designed by Carnevale Eustis Architects of Phoenixville, PA.
Private Residence, East Amwell, NJ - Best Residential Project $1-5 Million

Designed by Knight Architects of Princeton, NJ, this new, 7,450 sqft modern farmhouse features an Energy Star Certification, a two-story masonry fireplace, oak mono stringer staircase, large bluestone patio, custom cabinetry, and smart home automation systems.
The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction industry trade association representing more than 21,000 chapter members; the ABC Eastern PA Chapter represents over 450 member companies. The Excellence in Construction Awards competition is ABC’s premiere merit shop awards program that highlights outstanding merit construction throughout the region.
